Shared GPU Resources
As of 10-1-2024
The G2 cluster is community purchased, community-driven shared cluster that consists of approximately 200 servers, including 82 CPU-only servers and 118 GPU servers providing 8000 CPU cores and 720 GPUs – spread out over 70 resource owners and utilized by 665 community members. The cluster currently operates on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and is managed by the SLURM workload manager, supporting various CUDA versions.
Participants contribute to G2 by purchasing nodes, which are integrated into both general member and private preemptive queues. While all member-owned nodes are accessible to the entire G2 community, each group’s jobs are given preemptive priority, allowing them to reclaim their nodes as needed for their private queue.
